Terms & Conditions

The terms on which you may use CarePrint, for submitters, care workers and providers.

This policy is a working draft. Some details shown in [square brackets] are being finalised. For any question, contact hello@mycareprint.co.uk.

Agreement to these terms

CarePrint is operated by TheQuestLab CIC. By using CarePrint — whether to submit recognition, manage an organisation, or hold a personal record — you agree to these terms. If you use CarePrint on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

What CarePrint is — and is not

CarePrint is an independent tool for capturing, verifying and keeping positive recognition of care workers. It is not a care agency, not a regulator, and not a clinical or statutory care record. It does not certify compliance with, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by, the Care Quality Commission or any other regulator.

The people who use CarePrint

  • Submitters — clients, families and colleagues who share genuine, first-hand recognition of a named care worker.
  • Providers — care organisations whose managers verify recognition and support their workers.
  • Care workers — the individuals recognised, who can claim and own their portable record.

Acceptable use

  • Submit only genuine, truthful recognition based on your own experience.
  • Do not include medical details, safeguarding concerns, complaints, or anyone’s special-category data in a recognition.
  • Do not submit content that is false, abusive, discriminatory, or that infringes anyone’s rights.
  • Do not use CarePrint to rank, punish, pressure or disadvantage any worker — CarePrint is additive and celebratory by design.
  • Do not attempt to access, disrupt or misuse the platform or other users’ data.

Recognition and moderation

Recognition is not published until a provider’s verifier has reviewed it. Providers and CarePrint may decline, redact, or remove any submission that breaches these terms. Verified entries are kept as a tamper-evident record; changes are tracked.

Ownership of a care worker’s record

The verified recognition on a care worker’s record belongs to that care worker. Once claimed, they can view it, share a read-only version, and ask for entries to be hidden or removed. This portability is a core purpose of CarePrint.

Raising complaints about care

CarePrint is not a route for complaints about care. Concerns about the quality or safety of care must be raised directly with the care provider, and where appropriate with the Care Quality Commission or the relevant safeguarding authority. See our Complaints & Compliments page.

Availability and liability

We work to keep CarePrint available and accurate but provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, TheQuestLab CIC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. [Provider agreements may add further terms.]
